Kevin Cohen, Founder, Fitness For Tennis
Kevin Cohen is the owner and founder of Fitness For Tennis, where he oversees all aspects of the business.
Prior to starting Fitness For Tennis, Kevin founded Bene Gourmet Pizza, Corx Wine Bags, and Kevin Cohen Consulting.
Cohen earned BS degrees in General Science and Accounting in 1996, and was a practicing CPA in Oregon.
As a 30-year player, Kevin is a tennis fanatic. He played collegiate tennis at Tufts University. Currently, he is a ranked USTA Colorado tournament player and league participant.
Coach Nick Julia, Fitness For Tennis
Nick Julia is the resident Coach at Fitness For Tennis. Nick is a USTA certified instructor with 10 years of teaching experience.
Julia earned his MS in law from Denver University in 2009. Heplayed collegiately at Whitier College, from which he graduated with a degree in Spanish in 2006.
Nick Julia competes in the Men's Open Division in Colorado, and he is a former Colorado State High School Champion.

Steve Ascher – Tennis & Psychology Advisor
Steve Ascher is the head women's tennis coach at the University of Montana
After starting his coaching career as an assistant with the University of Portland 1997-98, Ascher moved on to assistant coaching positions at Millersville (Pa.) (1998-2000) and Davidson (N.C.) (2000-01). Ascher's women's program at Millersville advanced to the round of 16 at both the 1999 and 2000 NCAA Division II national tournaments. Ascher returned to the Pacific Northwest after one season at Davidson, once again taking an assistant position at Portland.
Ascher, who earned a master's degree in clinical psychology from Millersville in 2003, worked as a school psychologist for the Portland Public School District for two years (2004-06) before restarting the Portland State program.
Steve Ascher played collegiately at the University of Portland, from which he graduated with a degree in psychology in 1996.
Shannon Clark – Fitness & Nutrition Advisor
With over 10 years of industry experience under her belt and a degree in Exercise Science, Shannon Clark, is a certified personal trainer and fitness writer.
Her love of fitness began with years of training as a competitive figure skater throughout her childhood and teenage years which led her to begin studying exercise science in university.
From there she went on to become a certified personal trainer and began also working online writing for a wide variety of websites on health, fitness, and nutrition while working with clients in person. She concentrates her focus on helping others with building lean muscle mass and stripping off those last few pounds of body fat and she’s studied what works and what doesn’t.
